HOPE THEATER NAIROBI - WORK INSTEAD OF PITY
The Hope Theater Nairobi is a socio-political theater group from Nairobi (Kenya) that was founded with young adults from the metropolis's slums.
The ensemble regularly presents pieces in Europe on the topic of fairness in an economic and social context. Another important part of the work is the exchange with audiences of all ages. The contributors are keen to shed light on the complex network of relationships between Africa and Europe from the African side in a positive, critical, unsentimental, urban and authentic way.

SDG 13 – Climate Action – Definition
The weather is becoming more extreme, winters are warmer and summers are drier. Sea levels continue to rise - and yet greenhouse gas emissions from industrialized and emerging countries have never been as high as they are today. Without action, the world's average surface temperature will exceed the feared three degrees Celsius this century - with catastrophic consequences.
The poorest of the poor will be the most affected first, because they have neither a lobby nor the economic means to protect themselves from the effects of climate change. Economic and scalable solutions are available to help countries transition to cleaner, more resilient economies. Renewable energy and other measures that reduce emissions are part of the adaptation effort. Climate change remains a global challenge that knows no national borders.
Sustainability Goal No. 13 calls for immediate action to be taken to combat climate change and its impacts.
